So you have a wart, huh? It’s not exactly dangerous, but it could be annoying, irritating, itchy, painful, and maybe not the most glamorous accessory you can wear around town.
Why not try some of these home remedies for wart removal?
Aren’t home remedies for wart removal just a bunch of mumbo jumbo?
Actually, nope! When faced with the idea of a fun surgery, it at least makes sense to investigate all of this mumbo jumbo and see if it is for you, yes?
Now, studies have shown that your symptoms, like the warts, show their lovely little heads when your immune system is low. What does that mean exactly? Too little sleep, too much bad food, running yourself ragged…and then, an outbreak of warts!
Home remedies for wart removal work initially to just boost up your immune system. And not only will it help rid you of your warts, but it will keep you healthier in general, which is a nice perk.
Natural remedies cause no harm, and usually do help significantly, although the word on the street is that natural remedies work over a longer period of time.
So, if you need to have your wart gone by tomorrows big date, you might want to try one of the faster acting methods. If not, let’s look at the 4 home remedies for wart removal.
#1 – Apple Cider Vinegar
In the wart killing world, Apple Cider Vinegar is the champion prize fighter. This treatment is light on the purse strings and completely natural. First option is mixing warm water with about a cup of the vinegar and soaking in it for about 20 minutes a day.
Another option for hard reach places is soaking a cotton ball in the vinegar and wearing it with a band aid over night on your skin. How does it work? The acid soaks into your skin, knocking off the top layer ( and that ugly wart).
#2 – Duct Tape (Yes. We are serious.)
The way duct tape does the trick is by removing dead skin from the wart and activating your body’s immune system to do some fighting! You can put on tape, keep it on for about 6 days, remove it, wet the wart and then file it down.
Another way you can do it is by putting salicylic acid on the wart before you sleep at night and then covering it with duct tape. Each time you peel it off in the AM, a piece of the wart goes in the trash with the duct tape.
#3 – Banana Peels (Finally, a use for them!)
Don’t have duct tape on hand or a tub of apple cider vinegar? You probably do have a banana. All you do is rub the inside of a banana peel on your wart every night. The peel has loads of potassium which will sink in your skin and fight off the wart. Not bad!
#4 – Aloe Vera
To make the Aloe Vera work for you, you need to soak a cotton ball in the gel for about a minute. Then tape the cotton ball to your wart. Repeat every time it falls off. That was easy, huh?
Clearly there are many natural home remedies. You just have to pick the one that floats your boat. Natural remedies are cheap, don’t cause harm to your body, and are usually pretty dang effective. So grab a banana peel or a bottle of apple cider vinegar and you are off!
