In this article you will find 7 simple psoriasis natural remedies that might help relieve or even heal some of your symptoms.

Everyone reacts differently towards different natural treatments for psoriasis, so make sure you try out as many as possible and pay attention to if they are helping you or not.

Natural remedies are in my opinion often not a psoriasis cure in themselves, although they can help control outbreaks and alleviate symptoms.

You will have to improve your diet. This alone will help your body cope better. You can start small or you can do an overnight change, whatever feels best.

Here’s a list of natural remedies for psoriasis that have been reported to be helpful:

  1. Diet
    From my experience with skin trouble, I’ve found that the best natural remedy is diet. Find out what your trigger foods are and start eliminating them, and remember to eat more fruits and veggies!

  2. Acupuncture
    Acupuncture is an ancient form of Chinese Medicine where needles are used to stimulate energy meridians (it doesn’t hurt!). Some have reported improvements in skin after a few treatments.

  3. Sea Salt
    Dead sea salt has some interesting properties that I have witnessed first hand. If I have skin problems and I travel and bathe in the sea, they magically disappear. This has been true for my aunt’s husband as well. There are places online where you can buy dead sea salt, I don’t know if they work, because I haven’t tried them yet.

  4. Blood Test
    This is not a remedy per se, but it might lead to one. There are many reported cases of people getting their blood checked for any nutrient deficiencies, and from there supplementing with the proper nutrients and healing their psoriasis.

  5. Flax seed oil
    Take 1 to 3 tablespoons daily, it will add healthy fats to your body which can improve your skin. It can take awhile to see results. Results have been reported at 2 weeks and 1 year, so it is up to you, but supplementing with flax oil can only bring benefits, so there’s no harm in doing it for year :)

  6. Sunlight
    Sunlight is one of the best psoriasis natural remedies that exists! Sunlight is excellent for our skin and we as humans are meant to be outside. Just make sure you do not burn yourself and if you use sunscreen make sure it doesn’t contain any harmful chemicals that can aggravate your skin.

  7. Vaseline
    Apply pure petroleum jelly to wet skin. When you bathe or shower gently rub away the excess skin and then apply vaseline. Apply several times a day if necessary and reduce when you feel like it is time. You should start seeing results within a week.

I hope these remedies helped, some of them are very powerful and do get the job done, but as I said earlier, we are all different!

I highly recommend that you get your blood checked out, so you can spot any deficiencies and take care of those. It will not only improve your psoriasis, but also your overall health!
